Job Description

The Mission: 

The VP, Team Lead of New Business Market Research Sales works in managing the AVP, VP and AM level of the New Business Sales Team. The VP, Team Lead of New Business Market Research Sales will be responsible for ensuring that all members of the New Business Sales Team, including direct reports are hitting their goals. Coaching, mentoring and going on prospect visits, participating on prospect facing phone calls is also a necessary part of this job. The VP, Team Lead of New Business Market Research Sales will also contribute their own Sales, delivering to their own Revenue and Gross Profit targets.

  • Work with support and train our Account Managers, AVPs and VPs to help them achieve their own personal New Business revenue quotas.
  • Contribute ideas and strategies for success with the Global Sales Leadership team.
  • Continuously develop new business and onboard new customers.
  • Monitor and maintain all sales KPIs on the various bidding and behavioural metrics we have in place to ensure optimized performance and balanced workloads, ensuring all team members are fully productive working against clear New Business goals, monitored on a quarterly basis.
  • Achieve all team financial goals, delivering as a minimum on target revenue and profit per quarter.
  • Create a vibrant, competitive, and supportive New Business Development culture within the team where all team members focus on prospecting and new client acquisition.
  • Make the best business choice on bidding on studies and try to maximize the gross profit and help mentor Account Managers, AVPs and VPs to make those same choices.
  • Accompany sales personnel on New Business Sales calls in person and, on the phone.
  • Build close working partnerships with delivery team leads and staff to ensure that client servicing from quoting to invoicing is seamless and of the highest possible standards.
  • Create, implement, and monitor strategic marketing account plans that are vertical focused, to drive New Business Leads for the New Business Sales Team to engage with.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Required. Masters or Equivalent (MBA preferred) a plus.
  • Proven track record in securing New Business
  • Proven ability to mentor and improve New Business Salespeople
  • Able to effectively communicate with management, clients and internal departments
  • Strong record of target achievement (sales activities, quotas, margins, etc.)
  • Ability to champion accounts internally
  • Collaborative and supportive with colleagues
  • Positive influence on colleagues and other departments
  • Presentable and polished, with excellent presentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience in resolving issues, brainstorming and problem solving
