Job Description

To achieve this mission, we are looking for a dedicated Marketing Assistant to help the team deliver the member marketing strategy for Doctors.net.uk. Working closely with the wider Community team, you will work on a range of marketing activities, as well as supporting Doctors.net.uk members with their queries via the Helpdesk.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an ambitious and diligent graduate looking for their first role in marketing or first-jobber looking for their next opportunity. You will have the chance to make a difference in the team, company, and most importantly in the world of healthcare.

This role will initially be a 12-month maternity cover fixed-term contract.

The main objective of this role will be to: 

Help the Community team achieve their member recruitment and retention objectives (for UK doctors, medical students and international medical graduates) by assisting the delivery of the marketing strategy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build, check and assess performance of regular email newsletters
  • Help deliver and assess the performance of digital recruitment and retention marketing tactics, including email marketing and PPC
  • Assist with copywriting for marketing campaigns and social media
  • Manage the creation of design assets for use in marketing campaigns
  • Understand and support members directly by responding to and resolving member queries, both via social media and Doctors.net.uk’s customer service platform
  • Assist with Doctors.net.uk’s social media strategy
  • Assist team members with activities to recruit medical students and their transition to doctor members upon graduation
  • Assist team members with ongoing search engine optimisation activities
  • Help to plan conference and event attendance
  • Assist team members with the running of member loyalty schemes
  • Input into the ongoing collection of data and insights from users

Qualifications

  • Excellent command of written English and attention to detail

  • A degree or equivalent qualification

Desirable

  • Experience in a digital marketing environment
  • An understanding of email marketing software 
  • Knowledge of the healthcare sector/ marketing to healthcare professionals
  • Demonstrable data analysis skills
  • Experience representing a brand at events or conferences
  • Experience with video editing software
  • An understanding of basic SEO principles
