Job Description

We are looking for a creative, resourceful and enthusiastic Senior Medical Writer to join our team at Doctors.net.uk. The Medical Writing team at M3 (EU) is responsible for producing a wide variety of content for Doctors.net.uk and beyond, including promotional material, conference highlights, videos, case studies and more, for a range of clients spanning the pharmaceutical, medical devices, charities and wider healthcare sector.

Full-time preferred; part-time or flexible working hours considered.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Writing, editing, proofreading and quality checking content
  • Ensuring content produced is of the highest quality and is compliant to regulatory codes
  • Planning campaigns with the wider team
  • Establishing and maintaining processes to constantly improve efficiency and quality
  • Ability to provide strategic and/or tactical input for client campaigns where required
  • Attending client meetings to plan, scope and discuss campaigns (NB. day-to-day client relationships are managed by the Account Management team)
  • Working closely with Business Directors on proposals and pitches
  • Liaison with KOLs in relation to content development
  • Working closely with the Design, Account Management and Programme Management teams
  • Potential for travel for international and national medical conferences

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate

  • A life sciences degree (preferably a PhD), or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience of commercial and/or digital writing (Med Comms, creative agency, education agency, pharma)
  • Experience of working across a wide range of therapy areas
  • Experience of working on promotional post-launch drug campaigns would be preferable
  • Ability to understand concepts quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A firm understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory codes of practice
  • Confident in dealing with healthcare professionals and clients
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and surpassing expectations
  • Optional:  An interest (and preferably experience) in line management
